☆eblouie par la nuit☆

Current obsessions: burgundy/wine red colors, 'cat eye' liquid eyeliner style, and ANYTHING suede.

What is/are your current obsession(s)?

Top lashes: DIAMOND LASH 'Angel Eye'; Bottom Lashes: (cut in half) DIAMOND LASH 'Glamorous Eye'; Lips: Lady Gaga VIVA LA GLAM pink lipstick; Blush: L'OREAL Spring Blossom blush

I finally gave in and bought a felt floppy hat (actually, I bought TWO!) and let me just say, I am SO in love! It's still sunny and somewhat hot here in Southern California, so I still have time towear it. It also helps that nobody in my town in fashion-savy, so I'll be the only person parading around in my floppy hat笑;;

I have my eye on an animal print beret from F21, and will soon make it mine tomorrow, I hope!

I'm also sad to say that all of my lenses (yes, all of them) have been in the worst of shape (mostly of my doing from all of my traveling I do with them) and I've been forced to throw them out because of how uncomfortable my eyes have been trying to wear them; I have tried cleaning them, disinfecting them, everything! I've just ordered some new natural looking ones, luckily, so I'll only be lense-less for a lil bit!

OKAY, NO, this isn't the super, uber gorgeous quilted MARC JACOBS bag that every woman is trying to get their hands on, but it is a well-made lookalike. I don't look down on people who decide to buy fake brand items, EXCEPT when it comes to Louis Vuittion (I'm a diehard LV lover, sue me!). I chose the brugundy because I realize I have too many regular black bags, and want to add some more dark colors to my wardrobe, and I'm happy that I did!

Got these pumps in the mail today, and they look white but they are actually nude colored. Been DYING to get some nude pumps but didn't have the money AND my feet are so huge and wide, I usually I have to drive to a city a few doors down from me to get good-fitting, stylish shoes like these. I'm dying to get some JC shoes, but I'm just scared that they might not fit me... I definitely will try some litas on next time I'm in my hometown in the OC, and we'll go from there.

You might not know, but I am a frequent of Disneyland & have an annual pass that I renew every year so I can get my Disneyland-on anytime! This Sunday I'm hoping to go and I'm so excited to go back to my home away from home. Disneyland means a lot to me, and while people around my age diss Disneyland and call it 'childish', I'll be strutting around wearing my minnie mouse ears with pride!

Been working on nail sets for this whole week now, I don't know where this inspiration has come from! I've finished these two sets, and am starting a new set--purple, gold, and possible black combination. I'm hoping to make them shorter so I can wear them on a daily basis while these ones are just "night out" nails, is what I call them.

And ich liebe dich, Barnes and Nobles! Finally a good sale---buy two classics, get one free! So I indeed indulged and picked up The Death of Ivan Ilych by Leo Tolstoy (finished it already!), The Metamorphosis and Other Stories by Franz Kafka, and got The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde for free.

I have such a long book list that I someday will get around to buying and reading all said books, along with my huuuuuuuuge movie list. I'm hoping that once exams are over in December, that I can just finally really enjoy my books and not feel so stressed while trying to read them.

It looks like this once a week updating schedule works pretty well, and I seem to not be going over a week, so I might stick to this format. I'll try to update more than once, but sometimes I'm just a madwoman and always stressing over such silly (and sometimes not so silly) things.

iPhone 4S and my MURUA pouch; a lovely match, two of my loves.

My tack-board; full of memories, future dreams, and inspirations.

Louis Vuitton love.

Forever21 buy---bought one, got one free.
I'm loving the classy look these sweaters bring to an outfit.

Lipstick, bed hair, and a mind full of many, many thoughts to keep me company.

Louis approves of my Forever21 buy.

Siouxsie and the Banshees entertain me every morning.

I miss cold, lovely, early Amsterdam mornings.

HAPPIE NUTS秋冬2011 + ★

Good evening, gals! Hope your week has gone well. I've been in the process of getting my act back together with exercise, eating well, and gettin' on top of my school work. Because I wasn't eating that great and haven't been working out regularly, my school work has plummeted a bit. But now I'm back on track and ready to take charge again. Thank you for letting me take this week to get back in order! I'm ready to really get this blog rolling!

Wearing my beloved GLAMOROUS lash from Diamond Lash + my MAC lashes for bottoms. As you can see, I upgraded my F21 tassel earring to a much larger (and better!) tassel earring that resembles MURUA's tassel earring. I've already gotten so many compliments on them!

I did happen to drop by the nearest Japanese bookstore 30 mins from my University, so I went and picked up the latest Happie Nuts issue! It has a VERY useful Lipservice travel bag (and since I frequently travel, I needed one of these! Could have used this for Europe!). I really thought the pouch would be small but it actually is a perfect size!

I've picked my ultimate favorite spreads/coords from this issue (and believe me, there were SOO many to choose from, I really love this edition!), so I hope you can enjoy some of them as well! I already feel so motivated to try new things!

I NEED THIS COAT IN MY LIFE, and also Shizuka advertises the Lipservice pouch you get with this issue of Happie Nuts!

Left side tells you what lashes are most popular + the right side is just a gorgeous photo of Sayoko, I had to include this one!

I. love. every. single. thing. !!

DURAS was a brand that I never knew about before Mitsu had blogged about it (you can find her entry here) and I really got interested after that. Even if they just have this one page on DURAS, I really think they picked strong outfits for the girls to wear! I can see myself in every outfit. It really is so classy and I love the pastel colors.

There is just a huge assortment of coords on this spread but I am in love with them all! Especially the furthest one on the left, I just love that fur hat on her. I'm not really a hat person myself, but now I've just become so tempted to give in and buy a floppy hat!

I know it's kind of an old trend now, but I've had my sights set on this UO floppy hat (on sale too!).

I love the blue and somewhat odd colors of those bottoms!

I've only read through the mag about twice now, so I'm sure I'll find more spreads that I like but I instantly fell in love with these here! What's your favorite gal mag?

My black fringe bag finally came in the mail! I'm so in love with this bag, you have no idea. It's not a brand bag but it looks expensive in person, which is fiiiineee by me!

By the way, just wanted to let you guys know that I'm clearing out some really nice gal brand/gal items over here, so be sure to check it out! ☆

「hot tramp, i love you so.」

Happy October! It's finally Fall season!

Sorry for not updating for so long, getting caught up in my classes (and sleep!) has taken me longer than I thought since missing days from being away in Europe! But now I'm back on track so be on the lookout for more daily updates. I'm thinking of not making HUGE entries like how I usually do, but make smaller ones that will give me the ability to update more and better coordinate posts.

This look has a good amount of Fall trends in it (and my own personal taste, as well); dark colors, '60s inspired wide-winged ruffled sleeved top, woven black headband, long skirt (it's real color is a light maroon color but it came out orange for some reason!), chunky rings, and my lil Louis Vuitton.

It may be a bit plain but this kind of outfit can't have a lot going on with it, or else it won't balance itself out. I like the plain look, it's something that hasn't been my usual style, but I'm already so in love with it.

Last entry I told you my lipstick obsessions---will these are my current bag, jacket, and pump obsessions. Suede light purple pumps (bought in 2009), leopard jacket (always a must during fall/winter), and my Louis Vuitton that I only purchased last year.

Even thought none of these are super new, I feel as good as I would have felt if I had bought new things. I'm slowly getting used to the idea that it's okay not to get new things all the time, that even in your own closet you can find forgotten treasures. I'm looking into going to the local thrift store in my city thanks to the lovely Tori and her sharing her experience from thrifting.

Used dark reds, purples, white, a bit of black for my eyeshadow~

Really channeling my inner mode-gal for these two looks. EMODA has already hit the high list of being my favorite gal brand as of right now (replacing CECIL, gasp!), and I'm looking around at which other mode-gal brands that I might add to that list. I'm a bit picky when it comes to clothes, so when I say that a brand is on my favorite list---you know it's really good.

Really in love with Diamond Lash's Cat's Eye lash series, currently wearing them as my top lashes, with MAC's #8 bottom lashes (or #12, I forgot!). These bottom lashes are so great and look SO natural, I'm voting them as my favorite bottom lashes---even though they are actually top lashes!

The colder it gets, the more happy I am to wear my leopard jacket! Bring on the cold!

Also, wanted to let you guys know that I am in the works of FINALLY getting a new cord so that I can use my camera and download all of my many, many photos from when I was livin' the good life in Japan. I've had to use all of my paycheks up until now for bills, money for Europe, and so on, so in about 2 weeks I can finally take GOOD quality photos; I've been using my iphone this whole time.

Just one photo from ELLE magazine that I have fallen head-over-heels in love with. Not only does Nicole look GORGEOUS but that dress is the dress of my dreams, honestly. I am honestly drooling over this dress and currently have this photo on my tack-board in my room!笑;;

The year is almost over... isn't that crazy to think about!? Time has really flown by. I also want to say THANK YOU TO ALMOST 200 FOLLOWERS! Wow, I'm really blown away. I thought nobody would want to read my weight loss/fashion journey blog, haha, but look now! Really, thank you so much. I'm even more motivated to do my best and make you all proud!

☆And I'm feelin' good・・・☆

My first week back to the grind has been very stressful, so I'm glad that it's over with. Yep, now back in reality and it sucks. I've just been so high on travel that it seems odd to not have a big new adventure waiting for me----and luck has it, most recently I've found out news that will take me on my next big adventure.

I've been accepted to San Francisco State University's International Business program for Spring 2012! I found out while I was still in South Holland and I'm so very ecstatic. I've now fully changed my Linguistics major to International Business and will be changing my Japanese minor to European Studies once I finally meet with my counselor at SFSU. So many great things have happened in such short time, and I feel so overwhelmed by it.

It really does show you that with hard work, good things will come your way in the end.

I was able to pick up some new things at Forever21 and H&M, mostly jewelry but I did get one '60's inspired top by H&M and the red winter cardi that I'm wearing in the photos from Forever21.

As you can tell, I'm really excited to start wearing all of my faux fur items. I've been planning out so many outfits to mix-and-match my faux fur accessories, and even more excited because I happened to buy two faux fur leg warmers last minute, so I never got to wear them last year! But, I definitely will be showing them off during this Winter, you just wait!

Current obsessions include Covergirl's Eternal and Kiss lipsticks, one being more of a purple-red and the other a slight pinkish nude color. I saw Ena wearing more of the Kiss lipstick color in a photo on tumblr, which was refreshing because I'm so used to seeing her in bold red color instead, but I thought I'd hop on the train and try it out. I was afraid that I'd be too white skin toned to have it look good, but in contrast because of my whiteness, it looks a lot better and balances out my heavy makeup; I also saw a photo of Momoko wearing the color.

Delft blue glass clogs! A must-have!

While I was still in South Holland, I got to go shopping in Den Haag for a bit and picked up this lovely Dutch cuisine cookbook! It has such great traditional Dutch recipes, which I often remembered growing up eating. I like that it's in both Dutch and English, so I can work on my Dutch a bit more while also cooking!笑 Hopefully I can start up a cooking segment on this blog, since I really do enjoy cooking but don't have much time to explore the different dishes out there.

When I visited the F21 in Beverly Center in Los Angeles, I fell in love with the display case. I just thought it was so interesting that the Visual Merchandiser created such an awesome skirt by attaching really big rings to the skirt, and the top just matches it so perfectly. I love how fab it looks, both of the mannequins.

Also, I don't know if you remember but I mentioned in a few posts back about an EMODA bag that I fell in love with (you can see it here) and did a double-take when I was in H&M by seeing almost an exact look-alike of the EMODA bag. Although, the H&M bag retailed at about $130, I still kept the other EMODA bag in mind. I don't even think it's being sold anymore (which is a shame because I still love it so much), but this H&M bag is as close to it as you can find in a store near you (minus the suede on the bottom). If only it didn't cost $130!

Looks like I have a working and studying weekend ahead of me, and I won't lie but it does kind of feel good to be back in school and being back at work. I'm such a workaholic, I swear. I'm hoping to find a job once I move up to SF, but we'll see as the date gets closer.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
