☆GETS + PRINCESS MIMI LENSES!☆

Happy Fridaaaay

I'm so happy that this week is over! It just means one less week between me and my trip! I'm working hard at school and working more hours at my job, so I've been putting in my last efforts!

I'm happy to say that after a few weeks of being on a weight plateau, I've kicked it to the curb! Today I finally broke it! So I feel even more happy about the days to come and not as depressed anymore.

To help lift my spirits, I've been shopping a lot. Not too crazy, but more than usual! Since I'm so low on funds, I've been really picky about what I buy. Sometimes I just buy things because they are cute but end up never even wearing them in the end!

I really need to stop doing that... ()

In my last entry I told all of you guys that I bought and recieved my Princess Mimi Sesame Gray lenses! I'm truly in love with these lenses! For being 15.00 mm, I'm really surprised that I don't look like an alien... I was really afraid of that, but these lenses are just SO lovely!

They are my second favorite next to my Barbie Big size lenses!

The lenses have a small black ring but the gray color inside is really nice. I don't know if you can tell from this picture (once again, horrible camera, ugh!) but there is a circular ring outside of the grey colored part that looks like a light brown but sand-ish color also. It's somewhat glittery and it really adds a nice style to the lenses!

I think if you have dark colored eyes, you'll be able to see it a lot better, but since I have light-colored eyes, it was barely visible.

My real eye color is a light green/light blue color with touches of gray in it, so these lenses actually made my eyes a little bit more green when I was under the light!

When I was outside (which stupid me, didn't take a photo of!), it turned to a more lighter blue... ! These lenses give you such cute and big dolly eyes, I really adore them!

I'm not used to the black ring being so small, but I actually like it! It gives more radiance to my natural eye color and compliments natural make-up!

I'm actually really surprised that my curls turned out okay! Like I've said in past entries, my hair is really rebellious, so it usually never holds curls.

Soooo what do I think of them...?

Enlargement: 5/5 - they are AWESOME! Not too big or anything, they are actually really nice!

Color: 3/5 - Only because they blend with my regular color, I don't see much difference from using them. If you have dark colored eyes, it will make a huge difference with your eyes, but with light-colored eyes, I don't see much difference!

Style: 4/5 - Very lovely style! I didn't like how small the black ring was since I'm used to large sized ones, but it's really nice with light makeup.

Comfort: 5+/5 - SUPER comfy! I could wear these for hours and hours. It was a bit hard to put them in at first since they are so large, but after the third try I finally got it!

Overall: 4/5 - I really like these because they show more of my eye color but I wish the black ring was larger. If I had dark colored eyes, I'd probably love them more but my eyes just blend with it, so I don't see a total change while wearing them. Compared to not wearing lenses, they are 100% better to wear than none!

I got mine from Pinky Paradise, but I'm sure you can find them at other online stores too!

I didn't used to like shopping.

When I was 65 pounds heavier, I hated shopping. I barely looked in mirrors because I was afraid of what I looked like and never took any initiative to try to be healthy or lose weight. I simply ignored the problem even though I lived with it everyday. I wanted to be smaller and healthy, but I didn't have the right kind of motivation to do it.

So now 65 pounds lighter, I LOVE shopping more than anything else

Being able to fit into sizes that I never could really makes me feel so happy.

I still have more weight to lose but I'm happy with what I've lost so far!

Anyway---on to what I've bought!

I've been in need of a smaller hair curler so I decided to give in and buy this Conair hair curler from Target ($9.99!). They also had the 'rod' curler that I've used before (althought from a different place) but I knew that I'd be able to get the curls I'd want if I went with this one, and plus it being $20 less also appealed to me!

My large sized hair curler is also from Conair, so I trust this brand a lot!

One of my favorite makeup brands is RIMMEL LONDON.

I really love their lipsticks and their mascara is awesome! I was in dire need of some white coloring eyeshadow since my Covergirl one decided to turn darker (I think I've used it too much or something), I decided to try Rimmel London's!

I'm hoping that it will be better this time because the last time I bought it, the makeup palette spilled everywhere inside of it... even though I didn't open it!

I also went back to Styles For Less and bought some cute tops!

(lol my MUCC + Gazette posters!)

I'm in dire need of pink in my wardrobe! It's my favorite color and yet I don't have any really good summer-type tops w/this color

I really love the kimono-top one. It's really light and is nice to my oddly shaped hips! The black top was just love at first sight, so I had to buy it! You know how you see some clothing items and just think "YES! I MUST HAVE IT!" kind of thing?! Well, that's what I felt like

I really like oversized flowly tops because then I can pair it up with anything!

The striped one is actually a cropped top so it's not that big (although the picture makes it look larger!). I wore the pink laced top in my last entry and love it so much!

I can't wait to wear it again!

Anyway, I'm glad you all liked my black extensions! I'm hoping to play around with them a little bit more and make it more 'my own'! I'll also be sure to try out the bangs with them--thanks for the lovely suggestion!

and oh my gosh, I'm almost at 100 followers!
thank you so much! i'm really surprised!

I hope you all have a great weekend and for those in Japan, enjoy Golden Week!

☆ HAIR EXTENSIONS!☆

Good evening!

If you're been following my twitter and/or Facebook, you would have known that recently I bought my first set of extensions in black (I've also gone back to my light blonde color!).

I've been wanting these for a while now and I'm happily broke now because of buying them!

Now, you're wondering... why black!? You're a blonde! Yes, I know!

...but, it's fun to experiment, right?!

Here's me with the black + red combination~

With extensions, you can add or take away as many strands as you want and make any kind of hair style. I didn't want a whole wig-full of black hair, I just wanted strands of black to make my hair more fun and interesting! I also bought some cheap red colored ones to put with the black!

Yesterday, I went to Sally's to get the extensions and next door to it was this place called Styles For Less! It has a lot of store brand names in there (F21, etc) but the prices are docked down a lot! They also had a lot more cuter things that are out there right now, I think ()

I bought this super cute pink lace top, some new summer-style heels, and I'm going back soon to look for more new stuff for things I can wear during this summer!

Today I'm also wearing my Princess Mimi Sesame Grey lenses! I'm SO in love with them

At first, they were difficult to put in and center, but they are really comfy! I'll be writing up a review for them later since finding these lens reviews on light-colored eyes like mine is really rare (or really, any kind of lens reviews)!

this week has started out pretty great! I've heard back from my job in Tottori and everything is set to gooo! Supposedly the whole town (yes, the whole town omg what) is putting on a community BBQ for my arrival! I feel so embarrassed but happy !!

☆ JAPAN PICS + COORDINATE ☆

Hello, everyone!

HA! It's barely Monday, so I had to bust this post out!

Lately, I feel like I've been so boring... or rather, maybe really lazy~I'm not sure which! So again, I apologize for lagging! I've been trying to get things together before I leave for Japan, which involves me making calls, doing e-mails to the school I'm gonna be with, setting up plans for when I'm in Aichi, blah blah blah, boring stuff.slipknotrulez.gif

I guess I never really explained what I'll be doing for the time I'll be in Japan. About a year ago, I was supposed to come back to Japan, but due to family issues and personal problems, I had to cancel it last minute. So I took it upon myself to come back this year! I'll be studying at a language school in Aichi-ken for about a month and a week. The rest of my stay will be me teaching English to middle school students, helping my friend out at her cafe, and being paraded around as one of the only the foreigners to be in Daisen, Tottori (literally haha)

My last few days will be spent in my lovely city Osaka. I can't wait to come back to my Kansai homeeeee

I'm very thankful that I can have the opportunity to return to Japan, so I'm excited!

The only issue is how I'm going to packing everything... ()

I've also been down a bit since I've been stuck in a plateau for a good week or two now, so it's been discouraging to me to get all 'glammed up' and feel confident about myself when I've been working so hard but haven't gotten the results I've wanted. But, our bodies are all so weird, and I hope to get out of it soon so I can lose more before I go to Japan!

So, I won't give up!

Well, fashion-wise, I haven't really been active, I guess. Yesterday, I celebrated my mother's birthday (and also Easter! how funny!), so I tried my best not to go all-out with my style, but something that's nice instead!

Apart from my (now) usual dramatic makeup, I tried to do something that wasn't too flashy.

I love my big lashes, but I'm currently looking out for some better bottom lashes to use for when I don't wanna wear such dramatic makeup. The ones I have are the Diamond Lash Dolly style that I usually wear for my dramatic makeup, but I'd like something more... fresh?

I also heard that Tsubasa came out with a limited edition lash package! It looks lovely but I wish that maybe she could have come out with different styled ones but ()

Also, I appreciate everybody's comments on my hair in my last entries! Unfortunately... due to me hating it after only so little time, I decided to go back to light blonde again! I always thought that I would like having darker hair... but it just wasn't me, I think.

I was born a blonde and I've been a blonde since then, so for now I think I'll stay a blonde

Since I'm lacking fashion pictures, I wanted to share with you all some photos that I found really interesting after looking back at my Japan pictures from two years ago!

(Kita-ku, Umeda, Osaka; Tower Records store)

I took this two years ago in Osaka and funny enough, this week one of my Japanese exchange student friends gave me a mix cd with all these artists of it---a lot of them being reggae artists! I took this picture because I thought it was funny to see a random corner of reggae stuff in a store like Tower Records, but I'm guessing that reggae is popular!?

I do prefer it over English speaking reggae

(outside of Yonago, Tottori)

Taking a bus from visiting the JUSCO in Tottori, I spotted these two young Japanese school boys riding their bikes. They were very determined to get across the street before that white car would turn in front of them! It was a funny sight to see!

(Daisen, Tottori)

I don't know about you but I love Japan's architecture. I really love Japanese homes! Just looking at them gives me such warm feelings inside. I especially love Japan's countryside, so to see a block of houses next to a nice patch of green, is really very lovely!

(Umeda, Osaka)

What I find so interesting about Japan is the type of ways people get around. Whether it be by using the bus, train, or car, I'm fascinated by Japan's transportation system! Here in Southern California, only in special areas do we have train usage (San Diego, Los Angeles, etc), and most of us wind up driving our cars and spending lots of money on gas!

While I was taking the bus from downtown Osaka to Kansai International Airport, I saw this lady hop off her bike and park it here where all the other bikes are. She obviously is a working woman, so I was so surprised to see her riding a bike

I've only seen a business man do that ONCE here where I live, so it was very amusing to see it happen so normally in Japan.

(Kita-ku, Umeda, Osaka)

I had my friend take this photo of me in our hotel room in Osaka!

I really feel so connected to Osaka, not only because it's home to one of my favorite idol groups (Kanjani8 lol) or because I didn't go to Tokyo on my trip, but because I met such wonderful people there! It was in Osaka that I met my first gyaru (actually, gyaru couple!), had such a lovely experience seeing the sights, and enjoyed using my horrible Kansai-ben on people that didn't mind that it was horrible!

There is just something about Osaka that I love, and I continue to love even though I've been away for so long! I'm super excited to go back

I hope that you all have enjoyed your weekend!! Let's make this week a great one!

ALSO! thanks to BLOOMZY, I've also made a Facebook! I apologize for ignoring your requests to be my friend on my personal account, so instead please ADD THIS ONE!
