Splurged on Happie Nuts' October 2011 edition---even came with a big tote bag from L.D.S.!
I really love this issue. There is so much variety and so much personality to this current one. I'm really quite impressed! Not that they always do so horribly, but that I couldn't really find an outfit that I hated! I really don't have a collection of gal mags (possibly 3-4 gal mags in total, eek! the rest of my mag collection is all visual kei magzines笑) since I'm always too broke to buy them and/or I can't get ahold of them in person, but now I'm determined to start getting magazines---especially since some of them come with cute gifts!

Sayoko Ozaki is just drop dead gorgeous. I'm so jealous of her cheek bones and sex appeal that she always has. The outfit on the far left is my favorite of the three! She makes me want to dye my hair an orange tint---!
Today I started Fall semester at my college. It's so crazy to think that it's my last semester! I'm already so nervous and I just hope that I won't pull out all of my hair by December! I'm only taking two classes (plus a lab portion), so it isn't too bad but the classes are high college level so I really have to try my best this time. Oceanography seems like a fun class so far, I even get to go on field trips!

Today was the first time that I wore gal makeup to school. It was quite hot, and I found my eyelashes to start melting off of my eyelids but I quickly glued them back on! I actually feel so confident now to wear gal makeup (along with gal-inspired clothes) to school. I really feel like I can be myself! I'm usually always so quiet and anti-social when I'm at school, but I've already made friends with some classmates... and hopefully when I get back from Holland after missing one week of school, they can help me catch up!笑
I got to use my rilakkuma bento my friend Naomi gave to me on my bday while I was living in Japan!
I actually woke up early and made a bento for myself! I wanted to sleep in so badly but just thinking of eating the yucky food at school made me motivated to make my own lunch. I've been doing so well eating wise (lost 3 pounds so far this week!) without working out like crazy, so I want to keep on losing more!
I did splurge a bit on new purchases... after just buying something only a few days ago! Ahhh, I'm SO crazy when it comes to shopping. But I felt so inspired after my last post concerning EMODA's new Fall collection, so I picked up some items that I thought resembled the EMODA look. I especially love the gold stitched pull-over... I can't wait to pair some heels and skinny jeans with my LV for a night out!
You may not know, but I'm a HUGE British Literature junkie. I took a whole year of it at my college and even changed my minor to British Literature because I love it so much (also why I'm so intent on studying at Kingston University in Southwest London!).
I managed to get my hands on this compilation of Sherlock Holmes' stories at a good price from Barnes N Nobles! I only picked up the first volume since now I'm REALLY tight on money but I'll be back to pick up the second volume, along with The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoyevsky.
The lovely and gorgeous Rii inspired me to try my own take on red lipstick. Now, I've been collecting lipstick since I was about 14 years old (my Italian grandmother's lipsticks, as well as my mother's) and still have a huge case of lipsticks in my closet, but as I got older, I slowly grew out of that obsession.
I now feel like I've fallen in love with lipstick again! I've been all about lipgloss (since my lips are HUGE, a lot of times when I wear lipstick I look like a duck) for a long while now, but I've now hopped back on the band wagon for lipstick!
Since Happie Nut's current issue has some lovely makeup tutorials involving lipstick, I'm also thinking of changing up my makeup and hair a bit... try out some new things. I think I'll play around a little bit and see what I come up with! 笑
I've been practicing my Dutch and trying to get a handle on the lingo since I'll be going in less than a month now! I'm really so nervous but excited... finally doing something new!

Well, maybe I can come to NL to see you, so it may not be impossible, lol. Or when you are in London for a year, I can easily make it over there, just one hour flight!

ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear school is going ok for you so far & congrats on your weight loss! 3 lbs in 1 week is an amazing accomplishment :) I also think the items you picked out are definitely EMODA style~ camel is a really big 'colour' (I find it kind of funny that Ena makes reference to changing up the usual black & white with camel of all colours since it's just a neutral! XD) & that sweater is a perfect EMODA shape. Looking forward to seeing the outfits you create with them! ♥

ReplyDeleteI'm soooooo white (it's not even funny omg!) so I have to be careful when wearing this color red, I might go for a darker one because I look kind of weird with the lighter red color. I usually opt for pink or nude lipstick since my skin tone is so white, maybe the same as yours? I think a darker red would look better on our skin tones and would look a lot more classier. I'm gonna try it and maybe you can see if you like it too XD
